Woman escapes from NYPD police precinct, still at large

A woman escaped from a police station in The Bronx overnight and was still on the loose Thursday, police said.

Christina Evans, 33, managed to slip out of the 44th precinct at about 8:15 p.m. Wednesday, after being busted for allegedly violating a protective order against her, police said.

Cops did not have details on how she got out, but said that she somehow managed to walk out the front door of the station in the Concourse section.

Cops said Evans was not wearing handcuffs at the time of her getaway.

An NYPD spokesperson could not provide any additional details on the protective order that had landed Evans in custody in the first place.
