Netflix Movie Preview 2023: ‘Extraction 2,’ ‘Rebel Moon,’ And More Movies Streaming This Year

There will be no shortage of Netflix movies coming out in 2023, but there might be a shortage of sleep for viewers trying to keep up with the barrage of new content.

Like every year for the last half-decade or so, Netflix is leading the streaming charge for new, original movies. In 2022, the streamer released over 80 new original movies—more than 1 new movie a week—and we have a feeling that 2023 is going to top that. This year, Netflix is going to have a little bit of everything, movie-wise. Acclaimed filmmakers like David Fincher and Wes Anderson are coming to the streamer, with their films The Killer and The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar. Popular Netflix originals like Extraction and Murder Mystery are expected to see sequels hit the streaming service next year. And everyone’s favorite stop-motion chick flick, Chicken Run, is due for a long-awaited follow-up, Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget.

In an effort to help you sift through the noise, we’ve highlighted some of the biggest and most exciting Netflix movies coming out in 2023 below. When possible, we’ve included the release, cast, director, and official logline for the movies.

That said, the majority of the Netflix movies coming out in 2023 don’t yet have an official release date. Stay tuned, because we’re sure we’ll have more news to share on that front soon.
