Four men were injured in a drive-by shooting outside a motorcycle club that was hosting a party in Brooklyn Friday evening, police and sources said.
A suspect inside a white sedan opened fire in front of 223 Russell Street in an industrial section of Greenpoint at about 8:30 p.m., according to the NYPD.
“People started yelling that they were wounded, hurt,” witness Andrew Duszkiewicz told The Post.
A 24-year-old man was shot in the arm, a 41-year-old was hit in the head, a 30-year-old was struck in the back and the fourth victim was shot in the arm and grazed in the head, sources said.
All of the victims were expected to recover, officials said.
The address is home to a biker club, police said, and a party was underway at the time, according to law enforcement sources.
About a dozen motorcycles were lined up outside the club in the hours after the shooting.
Duszkiewicz, 55, said he was riding a Citi Bike when he saw gunfire erupt and called 911.
“A vehicle behind me started accelerating and I let him pass. He stopped in front here where motorcycles were parked and started firing,” Duszkiewicz told The Post.
“I dropped the bike to the ground over here and I was going to hide behind a vehicle because I thought they were going to shoot at me. The vehicle definitely stopped. After the final shot, I heard the screeching of the vehicle pull away.”
It was unclear if the victims were associated with the club or attending the party, but Duszkiewicz, a lifelong neighborhood resident, said it appeared as if the men were not seriously injured.
“They didn’t seem as if they were in horrible distress because they were large individuals, large men and I guess they could handle the pain,” he said.
The shocking display of violence in the industrial area, not far from a rapidly gentrifying residential community, also gave the Brooklynite pause.
“I still consider it to be … Mayberry from the “Andy Griffith Show.” Even now it’s still safe. It’s random but it happens,”
No arrests were made by late Friday.
