NYC woman falls out of car, is fatally struck by 2nd vehicle

A woman who was trying to get into a vehicle driven by her boyfriend in Brooklyn Sunday morning fell to the ground when he began driving away – and was fatally struck by a second vehicle, cops said.

The 46-year-old was trying to get into the rear passenger seat of a Jeep Cherokee at St. John’s Place and Rochester Avenue in Crown Heights when her boyfriend drove away, causing her to fall to the street, cops said. 

She was then struck by an SUV that was traveling on St. Johns Place. The SUV driver fled after hitting her, police said. 

The 48-year-old boyfriend didn’t realize the woman was trying to get into the car, cops said.

The woman was declared dead at the hospital.

She was taken to Kings County Hospital and declared dead, according to police. 

Police were looking for the SUV driver.
