It was a Christmas to remember for Celtics star Marcus Smart.

Hours after Boston defeated the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday, 139-118, the 28-year-old point guard took to Twitter, where he posted a series of cryptic messages before revealing some life-altering news: His engagement to girlfriend Maisa Hallum.

“Guess what …………,” Smart tweeted before following up with, “I’ve had enough. Been holding it in too long and it’s about time this gets said ….”

Though Smart’s post, “It’s time for me to leave …,” held his followers in suspense, the reigning Defensive Player of the Year added how he actually cut that message short.

“Oh I forgot the rest… Time for me to leave the single life. She said YES!!!” Smart said of his Christmas engagement.

In a separate post on Instagram, Smart revealed how he got an assist from actor Will Smith in setting up the holiday proposal.

“Now, I know that you may not have gotten the stuff that you wanted, I promise you, you’re not going to end this Christmas empty-handed,” Smith said in a pre-taped clip, to which Smart then got down on one knee and popped the question.
