How to buy tickets, best prices

We’re almost out of the woods.

On Jan. 8, Stephen Sondheim’s “Into The Woods” at New York’s St. James Theatre will close after its short run.

The well-reviewed musical adult fairytale began previews in June and was only supposed to run eight weeks before being repeatedly extended due to popular demand.

However, with no more extensions on the horizon, that means just a few more chances to see Brian D’arcy James as The Baker, Stephanie J. Block as The Baker’s Wife Joshua Henry as Rapunzel’s Prince before “Into The Woods” closes its curtains for good on Broadway.

While it might seem like seats to see “Into The Woods” live would cost an arm and a leg, some are available for as low as $63 before fees on Vivid Seats.

So, as Sondheim says, “Best to take the moment present, As a present for the moment” and get your hands on “Into The Woods” 2022-23 tickets before it’s too late.

Here’s everything you need to know about how to make that happen.

Brian D’arcy James (The Baker) is known for appearances in Marvel’s “Hawkeye,” and “Smash” as well as the films “First Man” and “Molly’s Game.” However, he’s most accomplished as a theater actor— James has won three Tony Awards.

Joshua Henry (Rapunzel’s Prince) played a major role in the Academy Award-nominated film “tick, tick… BOOM!” directed by Lin-Manuel Miranda and also stars in Apple TV+’s show “See” alongside Jason Momoa. You might know him best though as Aaron Burr in “Hamilton.”

Stephanie J. Block (The Baker’s Wife) portrayed the titular Cher in the Tony Award winning “The Cher Show.” She also won Tonys for her work in “Falsettos” and “The Mystery of Edwin Drood.” On TV and film, she’s appeared in shows as varied as “Homeland” and “Madam Secretary.”

Denée Benton (Cinderella) has acted in “The Gilded Age,” ‘Our Friend” and “unREAL.” Onstage, she starred as Eliza in “Hamilton” and took on the title role of Natasha in “Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812.”

Gavin Creel (Cinderella’s Prince/Wolf) turned heads in “Hello Dolly” when he won the Tony in 2017. He’s also known for his work in “American Horror Stories” and a 2009 cameo on “The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien.”
