Amanda Bynes Confirmed to Join ‘All That’ Reunion in First Public Appearance Since Her Conservatorship Ended

Amanda Bynes is back, baby! The former Nickelodeon star is set to make her first public appearance since the end of her conservatorship in an eventful All That reunion. She will appear in a panel at the annual 90’s CON alongside former cast members of the hit sitcom Lori Beth Denberg, Danny Tamberelli and Kel Mitchell.

Bynes confirmed her appearance at the event in a statement shared with Variety, saying, “I’m really excited to reunite with my castmates and meet the fans at 90’s Con!”

Bynes’ former costar Mitchell shared his own statement, saying, “Last year, I had a blast at ’90s Con promoting my book and new single ‘Blessed Mode.’ What better way to return than with the All That gang… including Amanda Bynes who will be joining Danny, Lori Beth, and me this year. I can’t wait to see all the 90’s fashion the fans are bringing this year! 90’s Con is a whole vibe! Let’s go!”

Aside from getting the chance to meet and greet with the All That cast, attendees at the event — which is scheduled to take place in Hartford, Conn. from March 17-19 — will also be allowed to “take a photo on a replica of the iconic orange couch with the cast members,” according to a statement from 90’s CON, per Variety.

Bynes, who rose to fame as a child actor while starring in shows like All That and The Amanda Show, was placed under a conservatorship in 2013 after she started a driveway fire and was hospitalized in a mental health facility. Her conservatorship was ended last year.

“I’m excited for her. She is excited,” Bynes’ attorney, David A. Esquibias, told Variety ahead of her March 2022 conservatorship hearing. “We’re all excited and we’re all anxiously looking forward to Amanda living a life as a private and normal citizen.”

As for whether we’ll see the What I Like About You actress return to Hollywood, Esquibias said he “wouldn’t rule that out,” though had not “heard her say that she’s interested” in becoming an actress again.

Since retreating from the spotlight, Bynes has obtained a degree from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, but previously expressed an interest in returning to her work as an actress back in 2018.

Esquibias said Bynes “has a new life ahead of her, and she is so young… She was a great actress. I’m sure many people would love to see her return to acting.”

Hopefully, Bynes’ 90’s CON appearance is just the start of her return to the limelight. After all, we need more movies like She’s The Man and What A Girl Wants.
