Rita Ora Gives London Travel Advice on ‘The Drew Barrymore Show’: “We Aren’t Known for Our Food”

Rita Ora gave Drew Barrymore some London travel tips during the “Drew’s News” segment of today’s episode of The Drew Barrymore Show. The talk show host shared that Travel & Leisure recently revealed the best city in the world for 2023, and it was none other than the hometown of her guest.

While Ora was born in Yugoslavia, her family relocated to London when she was one year old and she has been living there ever since. According to Architectural Digest, Ora currently resides in North London’s Primrose Hill neighborhood in a home that was built in 1877.

After Barrymore shared the exciting news, she asked Ora, “What is one thing you would recommend if we were to pop over to London that we can’t miss?”

The singer stated humbly, “I know we aren’t known for our food…” to which Barrymore disagreed, saying that there are “good” restaurants in the city.

Ora went on to say, “I would like to personally say, go walk through the parks,” naming Hyde Park and Primrose Hill as to must-see spots.

“Go to Notting Hill Gate, because that’s a lovely rom-com,” Ora added, in reference to the 1999 movie starring Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant. “You can walk down the market, you can see all the things. Everybody’s screaming at you to buy apples,” she continued, mimicking the salespeople.

As a final note, she turned the subject back to food and drinks. “Have a beer, have a Guinness. If you don’t [drink], have an alcohol-free version. But you have to do fish and chips,” she said as a final remark.

She went on to joke about other British delicacies including mushy peas and baked beans, the latter of which co-host Ross Matthews – who had been taking notes the entire time – shook his head and said, “I don’t like that.”

Ora proved the saying right: You can take the girl out of London, but you can’t take London out of the girl!

The Drew Barrymore Show airs weekdays at 9:30 a.m. ET on CBS.
